10 ways to a healthier body this spring

Springtime means warmth and sunshine after months of dreary weather, so of course you want to get outside! This also means it is the perfect time to check in with your health and make positive changes. Check out the list below for some fun activities that will make both your mind and body happy.

1. Ride a Bike

Nothing is more fun after a long winter than breaking out your bike again! Whether you go on a long trek through the mountains or a casual ride around your neighborhood, cycling is a fun way to take in the beautiful scenery while getting those legs back in shape. Bike rides are a healthier alternative to dinner and a movie for dates and are one of the best bonding activities for families.

2. Eat Fresh Fruits and Veggies

Fresh produce is one of the best parts about the warmer months. Fruits and vegetables taste best when they are picked fresh in season and they are much cheaper, too! Go to your local farmer’s market and stock up on favorites like spinach, strawberries, peas, and asparagus. Make your produce the star of some nutritious, tasty meals and your body will feel amazing.

3. Take a Stroll

Whether you are taking your dog for a walk or strolling hand-in-hand with your sweetheart, springtime walks couldn’t be better. You will get out of your home or office and into the fresh, crisp air. It is fun to watch your neighborhood change with the seasons, plus walks are actually great exercise. 9. Spring Clean Your House

Spring cleaning has lots of benefits for both your mental and physical health, so don’t skip it this year! Cutting the clutter will make you feel less stressed, which can wreak havoc on your body. Vacuuming and dusting also removes allergens and dust, making the air inside your home cleaner to breathe. You’ll also burn a ton of calories from scrubbing, mopping, and walking around the house.

10. Walk or Bike to Work

If you live close to your workplace, try walking or cycling to work when the weather gets warm. You will have a built-in morning workout, plus it is better for the environment and your wallet.
